Kingsbridge Sponsors Award for Workplace Health & Wellbeing

Kingsbridge Private Hospital Group is once again sponsoring the prestigious “Excellence in Workplace Health & Wellbeing” award, which recognizes businesses dedicated to promoting the mental health and wellbeing of their employees. The award highlights the importance of a supportive work environment, where employee health is prioritized, contributing to a healthier, more productive workforce.

Kingsbridge’s Commitment to Workplace Health

As part of its ongoing commitment to workplace health, Kingsbridge has launched the Kingsbridge Membership Club. This initiative provides corporate members with exclusive access to a range of healthcare services at preferential rates, all at no cost to the employer. Currently, more than 200 companies and organizations are part of the scheme, benefiting over 15,000 employees by supporting their health and wellbeing.

New Investment in Women’s Health

In addition to expanding its membership scheme, Kingsbridge has made a significant investment in a state-of-the-art Women’s Health Hub at its main hospital site on Lisburn Road in Belfast. This new facility reflects a growing awareness of the importance of women’s health, which is becoming a top priority for employers. Women aged 16 and over make up nearly 47% of the UK workforce, making it essential for businesses to prioritize their health to improve productivity, employee retention, and mental wellbeing.

The Women’s Health Hub offers tailored care for women at all stages of life, providing quick and private access to consultations in modern, compassionate facilities. Services available at the hub include:

Cervical Smear Testing: Routine screenings for early detection and fast-track referrals for colposcopy if necessary.

Contraceptive Services: Personalized advice and a range of contraceptive options, including coil/implant insertion and removal.

Female Health Reviews: GP-led health assessments that include ECG and BMI checks.

Specialist Gynaecological Services: Care for menstrual health, menopause management, and endometriosis.

Pelvic Health Treatment: Therapeutic interventions for pelvic floor disorders.

Consultant & GP-led Menopause Clinics: Support for managing menopause effectively.

As part of this initiative, Kingsbridge is offering an introductory 15% discount on female health screenings at the hub. Additionally, members have access to a variety of female health resources, including consultations with health professionals through the online “Ask a GP” portal.

Recognizing the Value of Employee Health

Kingsbridge continues to champion the growing trend of businesses across all sectors recognizing the long-term benefits of investing in employee health and wellbeing, particularly for female employees. By investing in their staff’s health, companies are not only improving productivity but also enhancing employee engagement and retention. Efforts such as offering health checks, flu vaccinations, wellness days, healthier food options, and team-building activities contribute to a more engaged, healthy workforce.

As organizations increasingly invest in the physical and mental health of their employees, Kingsbridge remains committed to acknowledging and rewarding these efforts through its awards and initiatives.
