Rihanna, the “Lift Me Up” singer, hinted at her future cosmetic surgery plans in a recent interview with Mel Ottenberg for Interview magazine.
When asked about her “fantasy surgery” in ten years, Rihanna humorously responded, “I don’t have that much time,” before elaborating on her wishes. She revealed her desire for a breast lift rather than implants. “I want my titties pinned back to my shoulders, right where they used to be,” she explained. “I just want a lift.”
This candid exchange between Rihanna and Ottenberg highlighted her preference for a natural enhancement:
OTTENBERG: They can do it without putting the thing in?
RIHANNA: Yeah. If you have breast tissue.
OTTENBERG: Oh, is that a new thing?
RIHANNA: No. It’s just called a breast lift.
Rihanna noted that she hadn’t researched extensively but acknowledged the potential for scarring, which she was comfortable with. However, she expressed apprehension about undergoing a tummy tuck due to the resulting scar and altered navel.
The Mayo Clinic describes a breast lift, or mastopexy, as a procedure to remove excess skin and reshape breast tissue, performed by a plastic surgeon.
Rihanna has previously discussed her body’s changes, stating in a 2018 interview with The Cut, “I actually have had the pleasure of a fluctuating body type,” emphasizing the importance of dressing for her body’s needs each day. Despite her openness about her body, she has not confirmed any past cosmetic procedures and admitted, “I’m also scared of the knife.”
In the interview, Rihanna also talked about her family life with rapper A$AP Rocky, their children, and shared some light-hearted personal details, including her favorite part of living in Los Angeles: “My gynecologist.”
