The Xiamen New Overseas Talents Friendship Association and the Xiamen Overseas Students Association (Japan Branch) jointly organized a skin health science popularization event in collaboration with the Department of Dermatology and Medical Aesthetics at Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. The event, themed “Empowering with Overseas Talent, Healing Skin with Wisdom,” aimed to enhance public awareness of skin health and promote scientific skincare knowledge.
The event featured a lecture titled “Essential Knowledge for Skin Health: Scientific Approaches to Herpes Zoster, Melasma, Eczema, and Urticaria” by Dr. Zhao Wenjie, the director of the Department of Dermatology and Medical Aesthetics at Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. Dr. Zhao provided detailed explanations and traditional Chinese medicine-based treatment suggestions for common skin issues, helping attendees understand the importance of proper skincare and correcting common misconceptions.
Following the lecture, several dermatology experts from the hospital offered on-site consultations to answer skin-related questions from participants. The event not only addressed practical skin health issues but also emphasized the importance of scientific skincare practices. The Xiamen Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (FROC) expressed its commitment to continuing such public welfare activities in collaboration with relevant organizations to contribute to the health and well-being of the community.
