Reigning The Miss Globe 2024 Diana Moreno is extending an invitation to Filipina women aspiring to become beauty queens to apply for the upcoming Binibining Pilipinas 2025 pageant, as applications are now being accepted.
Moreno, a Colombian beauty, made the call during a recent visit to Manila, which was part of her Asian tour that also included stops in Nepal, India, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. During her brief stay, she spoke with INQUIRER.net about her experience and the importance of joining prestigious pageants like Binibining Pilipinas.
“Hello, Binibining Pilipinas! The application is open right now, so please join us. A beauty pageant is a beautiful platform to inspire others,” Moreno shared. “You need to gain that experience, because it’s truly rewarding. You’ll meet many sisters in the contest. I hope to meet all of you,” she added.
Moreno, who was warmly welcomed by her second runner-up Jasmin Bungay and other 2024 Binibining Pilipinas winners, expressed her gratitude for the kindness shown to her during her visit. “They were so sweet and kind to me. The welcome was amazing. I now have even more sisters in the Philippines—it’s incredible,” she said.
The Colombian beauty queen also had the opportunity to meet The Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne, the last Filipina to win the prestigious crown. Moreno described Montagne as “sweet and gorgeous” and recalled how fans had pointed out their similarities after her victory. “It’s funny. When I won the crown, fans messaged me on Instagram saying I resemble Maureen. They even suggested that I might one day take a picture with her. And finally, yesterday, I got that picture,” Moreno shared.
Additionally, Moreno spent time with Anna Valencia Lakrini, the Binibining Pilipinas queen who finished third at The Miss Globe 2023 pageant, further strengthening her ties with the Philippine beauty pageant community.
Among those who have already submitted their applications for Binibining Pilipinas 2025 is former reality TV personality Kai Espenido, the reigning Miss FIT Philippines titleholder. Espenido, an Australian-Filipino from Siargao, was previously a housemate on Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10, where Binibining Pilipinas runner-up Samantha Bernardo finished third.
Interested applicants for Binibining Pilipinas 2025 are encouraged to download the official application form from the pageant’s website. Completed forms and required documents must be emailed to BPCI@aranetagroup. or delivered personally to the BPCI office in Quezon City. The deadline for submission is Friday, March 21, 2025.
