Linda Nolan has shared a significant update in her ongoing battle with cancer. In her column for the Daily Mirror, the 65-year-old singer revealed that her tumours have remained stable and there has been no further progression of the disease.
Initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, Linda has been grappling with secondary breast cancer since 2017, with a subsequent recurrence in her liver in 2020. Last year, she disclosed the discovery of a tumour on the left side of her brain and has since commenced immunotherapy treatment.
In her latest column, Linda expressed gratitude for the stability of her condition, stating, “The tumours remain stable. The disease is still there, persisting like an honorary Nolan, but there’s been no new growth.”
Reflecting on her recent experience at a friend’s funeral, Linda emphasized the fragility of life, remarking, “I know I’m lucky.” She stressed the importance of cherishing every moment and maximizing life’s opportunities.
Linda’s journey resonates deeply within her family, particularly with the loss of sister Bernie Nolan to breast cancer in 2013 at age 52. Another sister, Anne, received a positive prognosis after her own cancer diagnosis three years ago. Coleen Nolan, Linda’s sister, also disclosed a diagnosis of skin cancer last year, which she described as treatable but humbling in comparison to Linda’s challenges.
Despite the ongoing hardships, Linda Nolan remains resilient and optimistic, continuing to inspire with her courage and determination in confronting her health battles head-on.
