In a significant development, Mumbai-based mental health startup Amaha, formerly known as InnerHour, has successfully raised a substantial investment of over Rs 50 crore in an extended series A funding round. The leading investment of Rs 36.4 crore came from Fireside Ventures, with additional contributions exceeding Rs 15 crore from other strategic investors. This funding marks one of the most substantial investments in mental health in India.
Founded by psychiatrist and healthcare entrepreneur Dr. Amit Malik, and co-founded by social entrepreneur Neha Kirpal, Amaha aims to bridge the mental health treatment gap prevalent in India. The organization is committed to making high-quality mental health care and support accessible to a broader population across different geographical locations.
Amaha’s mental health ecosystem offers comprehensive treatment and care for various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, schizophrenia, and addictions. With a multi-disciplinary team of over 150 mental health therapists and psychiatrists, Amaha has been providing effective mental health services in 15+ languages. The platform facilitates 10,000+ personal and group interventions per month, reaching across 600+ cities in India.
