Denise Austin continues to inspire women of all ages with her effective workout tips and easy-to-follow routines. In her latest Instagram video, the fitness pro introduces “fun” and effective “kickboxing-inspired” exercises aimed at helping women lose weight post-menopause and target stubborn belly fat often referred to as “menopause belly.”
“Let’s blast that #menopause belly fat with these FUN kickboxing-inspired moves!! Give them a try today!!!” Austin captioned her video, using hashtags #MotivationMonday and #FitOver50. The video features two core and cardio exercises designed to tone the abs and boost metabolism.
Austin begins by demonstrating the first exercise: standing with feet shoulder-width apart and fists in front of her chin, she performs punching movements while pivoting slightly on her feet. “You’re gonna strike it to the side and really tighten up those abs. I feel it in my tummy right now!” she explains, recommending one minute of this exercise.
The second exercise focuses on “cinching” the “waistline.” From a high lunge position, Austin extends her arms forward and pulls her back knee toward her belly, bringing her elbows in to meet her knee with a slight twist to target the obliques. “Pull up and in, kick it out,” she instructs, suggesting ten repetitions on each side.
